Job Description

Houston petrochemical/polymer complex is searching for a “Project Engineering Manager” that manages other project managers at multi-sites. This is not a contributor role. 25 direct reports excluding contractors.
Responsible for project scope definition, engineering design, management of cost and schedule, and monitoring of construction activities to meet established criteria for quality, schedules, budgets, safety, and environment. This position requires regular interaction, to establish goals and objectives for projects, with all departments, project team members, outside engineering firms, vendors, and construction contractors.  Negotiation skills and knowledge of contracts to establish complex contracts for various project services including major design engineering and construction. 
This position also is responsible for the managing the Control System Engineers and Specialists who are responsible for the installation, documentation, maintenance and overall operational excellence of the process control systems hardware and networks.    
• B.S. Degree in an engineering discipline with a minimum of 12  years broad engineering experience with direct responsibility for projects where a knowledge of applicable codes and standards, e.g. API, ASTM, ANSI, ACI, AWS, AMI.
• Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local regulatory requirements (HSE).
• Excellent interpersonal and managerial skills; demonstrated goal setting and planning skills.
• Must have good tenure or Plant Manager will pass
• $152,500 with 25% STI to $168,400 with 30% STI DOE

Client is a very large global petrochemical operating corp. with a number of gulf coast plants from Corpus to Lake Charles, including a sizeable concentration in Houston.
