Project Leader - Petrochemical Plants

Project Leader to oversee capital projects within the chemicals business.  This position will be based in the Port Arthur, TX chemical plant.  

As the Chemicals Business Project Leader, provide direct project management leadership for medium to large capital projects for five chemical plants.  You will own the application of the company's Project Management Guidelines and utilization of best practices in project origination and project management throughout the various facilities.
You will lead the chemicals’ Large Capital Projects Group providing support and leadership to the team.  This includes providing resources and priority alignment for the Large Capital Project Managers.  You will work directly with each sites leadership teams on portfolio planning, prioritization, resourcing strategies, and project site integration.
You will be involved in continuous improvement of each sites capital execution process by mentoring each organization on company best practices, project management strategies and setting bench marks. 
• Minimum of 5 years work experience managing capital projects with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or 10+ years of project management experience in the heavy industrial manufacturing sector with an undergraduate degree
• Project management experience in refining, chemical, or a heavy industrial manufacturing environment
• Strong project management experience working in a phased project process (reference:
• Work experience leading and managing capital project development and execution groups in a refinery , petrochemical, or industrial environment
• Effective managerial capability
• Outstanding written, oral communication and critical thinking skills
