Job Description

Responsibilities:
• Manage the development and execution of pipelines and associated facilities.
• Define and execute all stages of work associated with the design and construction of carbon dioxide and crude oil pipelines.
• Provide effective oversight of contractors in charge of surveying, route selection, construction permitting, detail design engineering, procurement, construction, and start up and commissioning.
• Define and prepare job scopes and cost estimates.
• Prepare job scopes, project schedules, and detailed cost estimates for large and small capital projects when needed.
• Review all technical proposals for conformance with sound Engineering principles.
• Provide leadership supervision and direction to project team that may comprise of internal and external service providers including but not limited to: Project Engineers, Operations personnel, Survey, Land/Right-of-Way, Contracts Administration, Environmental Health and Safety, Legal, Production, Project Controls, Procurement, QA/QC, and Risk Management.
• Provide oversight and assistance for all Federal State and other governing bodies permit and regulatory requirements.
• Provide adequate field engineering support when needed during construction and execution of the project.
• Provide or direct the appropriate level of project documentation during the project and following completion to assure compliance with Corporate, Federal, State and other governing bodies
• Prepare and deliver presentations that communicate project proposals, descriptions and status to upper management, governmental agencies and/or the public.
• Travel is required and anticipated as 10 to 30 percent across a broad geographic region.

Requirements:
Education:
• BS Degreein Engineering
• 10 to 15 years experience in pipeline design, construction, operation, etc.
• Knowledge of pipeline standards and industry accepted practices.
• Knowledge of hazardous liquids and carbon dioxide systems including engineering design, construction, pipeline hydraulics, cathodic protection systems, etc.
• Leadership, communication, motivation and interpersonal skills. Direct Supervision of Project Engineer(s)
