Job Description

Provide major project leadership including project planning, scheduling, prioritization of tasks, cost control, project progress updates and coordination with production operations and field personnel.

Duties and responsibilities:
• Effectively plan, schedule, and manage multiple capital projects exceeding $100 million.
• Oversee and manage major project inspection and construction personnel including monitoring of contractor personnel and overall contractor performance.
• Review and manage expenditures and commitments, and prepare weekly/monthly cost control reports.
• Prepare project scopes, cost estimates, and execution plans for new and expansion projects.
• Provide technical support to Production Operations if needed for production facilities including processing and process facilities.
• Keep Major Projects Engineering Manager and Engineers updated on any project related issues including project safety, compliance, job scope, schedule and cost control.
The job is basedin Durango Colorado. Frequent daily travel will be required for SW Colorado; and may be required for New Mexico, Arizona, Texas and other states as needed.

Experience / specific Knowledge:
• 10+ years experience in engineering and project management involving the design, construction, and operation of carbon dioxide production facilities and hazardous liquid pipelines. This includes compressors, pumps, vessels, pipelines and processing equipment.
• Project management skills including project scoping and estimating utilizing work breakdown structures, cost and schedule control, design and construction management, team building, resource planning, procurement, and permitting.
• Working knowledge of applicable regulations and agencies such as DOT, OSHA, and various state counterparts.
• Working knowledge of NEC, ASME, API, and ASTM specifications, standards, and recommended practices.
