Job Description

• Function as Project Manager/Engineer for assigned pipeline projects. These projects may include pipelines, support structures, pumps, meter stations, and other related facilities.
• Oversee daily operational activities.  Works with internal (work group, SCADA, Technical & HSE) and external resources to improve system operations and realize efficiencies
• Perform cost estimates, hydraulic studies, and other engineering studies and calculations.  Researches and recommends new technology and equipment.
• Assist in the planning and execution of integrity management (hydrostatic tests, in-line inspection tools, guided wave, etc.) activities
• Apply engineering concepts to solve performance and reliability problems
• Work with corporate Business Development group and other entities to evaluate feasibility and cost/benefit of potential projects
• Interfaces with DOT/PHMSA, Texas Railroad Commission, and LDNR concerning compliance issues and audits
• Improve Process Safety (MOC, PHA, Incident Reporting, etc.) and Operational Excellence programs
• Monitor encroachments and evaluate effects on existing & future assets
• Interfaces with pipeline suppliers and customers concerning pipeline issues
• Support and develop supervisor and technicians assigned to area of responsibility
• Bachelor Degree in Engineering, preferably ChE, ME, CE or EE
• Minimum of 3/8 years relevant work experience, preferably in the pipeline industries
• Experience developing process design packages and project economics
• Ability to apply engineering concepts to solve operational issues
• Knowledgeable of safety design systems, HSE and OSHA's Process Safety Management regulations
• Demonstrated knowledge of statistical application such as Six Sigma as well as incident investigation methodologies such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and/or Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
